i have verizon and have ringtones that are good for as long as i have my phone. i've never seen where there was a monthly fee for ringtones. it may be the ringback tones that are a monthly fee- but i think that's just for someone to use the ringback ...

I have the V3m Razr and I usual just use the record function and then set it as a ringtone with no problems. The LG's from Verizon (new ones) won't let you do that (my old LG VX7000 would do it). I'd try that if I were you. I know, I don't like havin...
